Addiction & Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS)

Tranquility Grove is an approved provider of Addiction & Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) — Virginia's Medicaid benefit for substance use disorder treatment. ARTS covers a full continuum of evidence-based services for individuals with substance use disorders, including residential treatment. If you are covered by Virginia Medicaid, ARTS benefits may cover your stay at Tranquility Grove at little or no cost to you.

ARTS-Covered Services We Provide

SUD Case Management

Coordination of care across clinical, social, and community services to support sustained recovery and address barriers to treatment.

ASAM 1.0 — SUD Outpatient

Structured outpatient counseling and support for individuals with substance use disorders who do not require a higher level of care.

ASAM 2.1 — SUD Intensive Outpatient (SI-IOP)

Intensive outpatient programming providing structured group and individual therapy multiple days per week while allowing clients to live at home or in a sober environment.

ASAM 2.5 — SUD Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

A high-intensity, structured day program offering near-daily clinical services for individuals who need more support than IOP but do not require 24-hour residential care.

Medication Assisted Treatment — Suboxone

Evidence-based MAT using buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) for opioid use disorder, integrated with counseling and recovery support services.

ASAM 3.1 — Low Intensity Residential Treatment

24-hour supportive residential treatment in a structured setting for individuals who need stable housing and daily support as they build recovery skills.

Wraparound Care Continuum

Tranquility Grove is part of Epic Health Partners' full continuum of care. Residents can transition seamlessly into the next level of support — without losing momentum.

Level 1

Residential Treatment (Current)

24/7 supervised, clinically managed recovery in a structured residential setting.

Level 2

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Intensive daily programming with the ability to return home or to a sober living environment each evening.

Level 3

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Structured group and individual therapy several days per week, allowing for greater independence while maintaining clinical support.

Level 4

Case Management

Coordination of housing, benefits, employment, and community resources to address the practical barriers to sustained recovery.

Level 5

Peer Recovery Support

Ongoing connection with Peer Recovery Support Specialists — people with lived experience who provide mentorship, accountability, and hope.
